BerwynFats's Diary Notes

Entry Title Note Posted
Party at Idol's i just turned 26... how do you think *i* feel?[muzakluvah] 2008-12-22 08:51:18

N/A

you wrote this on my birthday.

i have to say i'm sorry about maureen. i remember you talking about her in past entries. did she not get married? you kind of left that open ended.

ryn: no, it's not that bad to not change sheets every couple of weeks. but if you don't change them periodically, you end up sleeping on dirty sheets, and whats the point? your skin sheds daily (or something) so you're rolling around in your dead skin, not to mention bed bugs and if you walk barefoot (which i don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) you are bringing all the stuff from your floor into the bed. so what's the point of sheets (or in your case simply a bed) if it's not clean? you could get sick or something.

N/A Hey, long time no read! As a person who made the switch from a PC to a Mac last November, I must say it's one of the best purchases the federal government has ever allowed me to make. ;-) I haven't looked back.

Don't feel sorry for yourself. You're about a couple years older than I am, right? (I'm 21.) There's plenty of time to get married and all that. I'm not sure if that's why your feeling a little bit down, though. I'm just surmising.

As far as buyer's remorse, I experience a lot of that too. Just go with your instincts. I find when I settle for something either because I'm feeling indecisive or to please others, I'm the only one who's left disappointed and out of cash or feeling like crap (health-wise), so just follow your gut... with just about anything.

N/A I apologize for taking away from your entry, but your comment really piqued my interest.

Here's the deal, though. When it became apparent that not only was an African-American Democratic candidate running for president, but was a qualified AND able to pull in votes, there was a lot of discussion amongst the pundits about whether America lives in a post-racial society. I don't think we do, but a better question is really, should we live in a colorblind and post-racial society?

Colorblindness is not the opposite of racism, and I don't think it's something anyone should strive for although that's what we're told. Not being a racist means that you DO see color, are aware of racial and culture differences and don't have a problem with it.

You don't fully understand the what Obama's win means to Black Americans, and I don't really expect you to either. It's creating a unity and strength within the community that hasn't been present for a while due to divide and conquer tactics that those in power often use against minorities so they, in turn, can use it against other minorities (e.g. the passing of Prop 8 and other anti-gay legislation being blamed solely on Black voters). Obama represents hope for so many Black people. The sky is the limit for us, now, and I'll know you'll argue that it always was, but I can assure you, it has not been, even with Civil Rights legislation that has been passed. There's an overrepresentation of Black males in the prison system and an underrespresentation of them in almost every other aspect of American life both professional and personal.

Racism is institutionalized in this country, and not only that, it's very embedded in the history of our country. I love this country, and I'm grateful that I live here, but it's far from perfect, so when I say these things, it's not to attack, but in the hopes to see this country honestly represent the words of the Constitution - words such as "to create a more perfect union".

The mayor of Newark, Cory Booker, really described it best on the night Obama was elected. I'm paraphrasing here, but it's about recognizing the varied cultural and racial makeup of this beautiful country and reveling in its deliciousness, not trying to ignore those differences.

I'm glad that you support Obama based on his merits, but there is significance to fact that he is the first African-American President-Elect, and that significance shouldn't be ignored because it makes you or other White Americans uncomfortable.[Parachutes]
2008-11-24 00:17:26

N/A Enlighten me, if you will. If you're happy that Obama won, why was it frustrating to watch parties in black neighborhoods?[Parachutes] 2008-11-22 21:20:51

N/A how do you know death's not that bad?![muzakluvah] 2008-10-14 05:34:36

N/A I never saw Grey's when it first aired, but I got into right after the premiere of season 3. I "Netflixed" the DVDs and GOT HOOKED! It was a refreshing show and everything, but the loss of Addison and Burke (esp. the way they had him leave) made me lose interest. Plus, the addition of that Lexie (which is played by that actress that I have mad hate for)... UGH. Although, the addition of Hahn almost makes me want to start watching it again. Just thought I'd let you know...lol. But yeah, I also tried to get into Private Practice, but it just wasn't working for me. Even my mad girl-crush on Kate Walsh isn't enough to keep me tuned in. So sad... lol.

The owner of the dealership is a dick. Jeez. And it's really saddening to hear about the guy who committed suicide. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that suicides are on the rise because I feel like every time I turn around I hear about another person doing it.

I had to look fubar up. Hilarious.

And thanks for the birthday wishes! My birthday was on Oct. 3rd so... last Friday.

This was really long. Sorry. Laughing

2008-10-11 19:20:38

N/A Sorry about your loss. You're fortunate to be able to inherit something, and I agree that it's probably a good idea to hold on to it.

And to reply to your question... YES, it's the same girl!

[Parachutes]
2008-10-04 11:04:33

N/A

i was gonna say, "i'm sorry to hear that." but then you said it's not so bad. so. i'm happy? my condolences, regardless, but i'm happy you got "at least" that much. my mom left us a whole lotta nada.

so, how tall are you? i saw a pic of you a while back, but there was no telling your height.

[muzakluvah]
2008-09-28 22:33:18

N/A Yeah, I'm proud of you as well. And props to your mom for the Rogue. I like those a lot.

342 aw, don't give up! not yet. [muzakluvah] 2008-08-27 05:44:33

N/A andy, i'm really proud of you!! no pain no gain. you can do it. i'm behind you 100%!! i really am excited for you.[muzakluvah] 2008-08-25 17:09:10

N/A i don't have much time to comment now, so i'll say more later. i have to tell you that i'm really proud of you for going to the jym.[muzakluvah] 2008-08-18 06:00:26

Heath Ledger's Joker I'm so jeaaaaalous because I really want a car. Perhaps I should try working for one... gosh, that makes so much sense. No wonder I didn't think of it. :-) But yeah, that's awesome. Titans are really nice.

I'm dying to see the new Batman film. I haven't been this excited about a movie since last year's Pottermania.

[Parachutes]
2008-07-20 00:09:31

Heath Ledger's Joker

way to rub in all that money you've come into. thanks. why don't you spot me a 20? i'll pay you back. i'm good for it.

and i was going to see the new batman movie last night, but my boyfriend.... we rented pirates 3, and i fell asleep within 15 minutes.

2008-07-19 23:38:58

N/A I really like this entry and I am really surprised about that. Perhaps it's because I'm going to purchasing a vehicle within the next year that my interest in automobiles has gone up significantly.

Anyway, I'm surprised that Nissans are down so much. I know down here in South Florida, you rarely even see 2003-2006 Altimas and Sentras because pretty much everyone has upgraded to the new models. And there are a lot of new Versas on the road as well. Plus, it's not like Versas and Sentras get bad gas mileage. I don't know why people aren't eating them up. You get some pretty good accessories and extras for your money. At least that's what I think. It's not like I'm partial to Nissans or anything. Wink

[Parachutes]
2008-07-05 21:45:37

N/A

looks like someone's been doing their homework...

I got 36mpg with my '99 Nissan Sentra with this past tank of gas, and usually is around 34mpg. Not bad!

N/A

1) i'm not really all that interested in seeing that video. it's weird, i only wanted to see someone you know. that's probably a little psychotic or something (even if only a little bit, or even a lot), but it's true. i don't care for porn in the least.

2) joe and i were talking, me telling him he was way too nice. he started telling me about his piano teacher, whom he says is way nicer than her. his analogy was something along the lines of "if i'm a delicious piece of fruit, then she's..." i don't remember what he said about her. i think i might have interrupted him by then. he's very health concious and eats a lot of fruits and veggies.

3) even if i don't always comment, i read every word of every entry.

[muzakluvah]
2008-06-07 22:22:02

N/A Not that I know you, but you always seemed a bit... classier than exploiting the image of someone who you've worked with, man. Technically, yes, she put her business out there for everyone to see, but it all comes to down personal choice, and I must say I'm disappointed with the choice you made. Sorry because this is probably coming off as judgemental and condescending. I do respect your right to do whatever you want to do, however.

CFF update #65 i want to see this video! can you add a direct link?[muzakluvah] 2008-06-03 08:02:18

N/A i can't do much better than easy either. but the drums on rock band are so fun, even if it is pointless.[muzakluvah] 2008-05-27 05:53:44

N/A I think it's bullsh*t that people do that about the money only a short few days after the person has been dead. Could they wait a bit?[zeakez] 2008-05-26 19:19:11

N/A

when my mother dies, there won't be any funds to be distributed. if anything, all her finacial burdens will be put on us, her children. i kind of wish she'd be put out of her misery, and but i mostly wish she'd just be gone so i don't have to worry about her anymore. i don't like feeling like a bad daughter for not calling her daily, or acting like i care. but for 25 years, she showed me she didn't care, and now that her life's almost over, i don't see how i can muster enough caring and understanding for her right now.

sorry to unload on you.

[muzakluvah]
2008-05-26 08:11:51

N/A Sorry to hear this. It looks like they've got a lot of life out of..life though(they're pretty old).[zeakez] 2008-05-08 07:16:03

N/A

i know how you feel about downloading miley cyrus' brother's band's album. i would feel a little bad, too. but i did download one of her songs, the "i've got my sights set on you" one. don't know what it's called.

and i've missed you!!!

[muzakluvah]

Yay for Mario Kart!!! I've been waiting too!

And...Miley Cyrus is pretty awesome..

N/A it's way past later right now... where are you?[muzakluvah] 2008-04-25 19:43:08

N/A I love "call on me", and that Monster sh*t is poison, along with the tacos.[zeakez] 2008-03-14 00:39:29

N/A

as for your comment from the other day...

You should just shut your mouth *haha*, because I probably WAS talking during the answer!

[zeakez]
2008-03-14 00:37:16

N/A I don't think it's illegal. There's only 0.5% alcohol and it's technically tea. I think you'd have to drink about 20 of them to get a buzz, and I only had half of one.[zeakez] 2008-03-12 06:20:22

N/A I have an electric water pump, and I have no idea how the water is heated! Haha. I'm new to this whole home ownership thing. I have an instant water heater, so I think that it is electric. (maybe..)[zeakez] 2008-03-09 20:04:52

N/A Dude, Rob Thomas (of Matchbox Twenty fame, if you can call it that) did cocaine and actually GAINED weight, so...

Yeah, I've had the desire to find something to throw myself in, and everytime I say that (especially to someone other than myself), I always feel the need to clarify that I only want to figuratively throw myself into something, like, you know, I'm not looking for a well or anything. lol

Work probably won't be the thing I throw myself into, though, unfortunately. It'll probably be sleep, which isn't a good thing.

[Parachutes]
2008-02-23 21:51:38

N/A Cocaine is probably a bad idea, though it would probably work...[zeakez] 2008-02-22 07:46:11

N/A Hey! Say my entire exhaust is sh*t, how much will it cost me to have it fixed? (99 sentra) Honestly, is it a good idea to have it fixed at a Nissan dealer? Will they rip me off??[zeakez] 2008-02-20 07:34:17

N/A OH come on... Lost is still awesome. Granted it may not be as good as before, it's still good..[zeakez] 2008-01-16 00:14:20

More gobbledegook I still have several pairs of black jeans... don't wear them too often, only when I want to make a special impression.  Come to think of it - time to stop leaving comments here.  Good bye Andy.
[Wolfpriest]
2008-01-14 19:26:38

More gobbledegook Yes, black jeans are horrible on someone that is not an old man. My Dad is 52 and wears black jeans but if you're 24, go for some khakis or a neutral soft pant while you're at work.[zeakez] 2008-01-14 15:26:36

More gobbledegook

i saw the rob zombie version of halloween too. it's the only one i've seen, and i liked it too.

btw... not that you were trying, but the "gobbledegook" sometimes give me a sense of normalcy... thanks.

2008-01-14 03:46:27

N/A I know you said you don't care either way since it doesn't affect you, but why is a gay married couple different from a straight one in your eyes? At least to the effect, that they shouldn't have the same rights? Marriage is marriage. Why does one's gender play a role in which rights he or she is appointed?
[Parachutes]

is it okay to see bodies floating down the streets on someone else's soil??

[zeakez]

2008-01-11 07:30:21

N/A well, here is a thought (as you say) - what percentage of your fed tax has come back to ya?  Some did, I'm sure, but we're talking very low.

I don't blame the President for not doing everything right, but... its not just the war... its the huge parking break the country has been in since he got in office.  Will a Dem do better?  I don't know.  I think Bill was very lucky in his 2 terms.

As far as bodies in the water...  This country is well behind the world in organization on national level mostly because local level usually does good and nothing to worry about.  I think its ridiculous that there is no constitutional law on education.  Even worse that there is no national police force.  I don't blame FEMA.  After Pentagon (which is busy!) Crips and Bloods are the largest nation-wide organized forces.

We need changes.

[Wolfpriest]
2008-01-11 01:21:42

iPod Touch...a fag? It was the relay. That's what I thought it was (but I call it a fuse, because I don't know any better..). [zeakez] 2008-01-01 00:19:12

iPod Touch...a fag? Well for Mark its one thing - you always want to be at least on the same "sexuality" side as your boss.  But the chick... meh.  Maybe you should ask her out - chicks need dates too you know.  But if you do you should do it now - before you move! (and before she leaves)  So if she is still there when you move you know where you stand with her (no pun!).  But yeah - she should go!  I can smell her influence all the way in New York! Laughing

2007-12-30 00:27:12

Diet beer, perhaps? wow, did you take my advice or were you just gonna do it anyway? cause if you did, that makes me so proud!! and you should go out for new years. just for the experience. i'll be in california, and i canNOT wait!! i may need to buy a new dress, not that YOU care...[muzakluvah] 2007-12-29 09:16:15

Diet beer, perhaps? Isn't there a thing in Chicago like the ball on Times Square in NY?  I've never been to Chicago (do have friends from there if that "counts").

It is amazing that you get such good mpgs on a v6...  But do you realize that hybrids get better in-city?

Lines are always too small unless you have a private accountant to read them for ya! WinkLaughing

[Wolfpriest]
2007-12-28 09:21:52

N/A don't know what you mean by Daron being pushover...  he sounds more like a sucker to me.  And I do feel sorry for his kind!  If chick likes him AND if he makes just 1 right move she will go with him - that's all.  But being there all the time is pointless and I sort of agree with the staff.  Not only this could cost him his job, but also her job.  Its just a question of how much "in your face" they get.  She's prolly not too smart or very needy herself if she hasn't told him to get lost already.

For medical purposes a glass of red wine is best if you must have some alcohol in the evening.  Beer is actually not too bad either....  But man Budweiser is awful!  "Lite" = "+crap" in my book.  Good beer is harder to make then good wine, but there is plenty of bad, bad sh*t on the market either way.  Anyway, from common stuff I like Bass Pale Ale (its not pale!), but I think the bottles might be too large for "bedtime" drink.  Wine you can always re-cork for tomorrow. Wink
[Wolfpriest]
2007-12-27 09:42:10

N/A if you must drink beer, why not have lite? and i'm with you on the savings thing. i spent way too much this year, and i mean WAY too much.[muzakluvah] 2007-12-27 09:05:34

N/A Beer has a lot of calories and sugars as well, so that's not a good idea if you are looking to cut down on those things. Not to mention it's poison...[zeakez] 2007-12-27 01:09:13

I've never had netflix just because well I haven't, I have a DVD Player Recorder, so I just pay for the movie channels and burn them when they come on.... But I hear its cool. 28 Weeks later is good. I personally jump really easy during horror movies, so lets just say I jumped a few times..lol. I really want to see Reign Over Me. Let me know if it's good, Not need to spend money on renting it, if it's horrid. Can't say that I ever liked Transformers... cause well I'm a girl... but Not my fav. type of movie. I probably won't see it, until it comes to HBO or Starz, and only then if there's really nothing on...

N/A the funniest thing on this entry was "it's on the internet, so it must be true." that's hilarious.[muzakluvah] 2007-12-16 11:42:30

N/A if this is you after a few drinks... i like you after a few drinks.[muzakluvah] 2007-12-15 14:45:52

N/A I read somewhere (Sorry, I can't recall at the moment) that even if you're not into breakfast foods, then you should substitute something else (preferably healthy) that you'd eat later in the day. The point is to eat something in the morning. I guarantee you it'll help you feel less sluggish throughout the day and will prevent you from binge-eating during your lunch hour.

For the past month, I've really sort fallen off the wagon with my eating habits and there has been a noticeable difference physically, mentally, and emotionally, so I need to get back to eating three (healthy) meals a day and increasing my water intake. I'm still trying to figure out how to fit in exercise, though. I don't plan on going to the gym, but just like doing some abdominal exercises at home, some walking and/or running around my neighborhood, and on weekends heading over to the local Rec Center to play basketball or kick around a soccer ball. Nothing intense and nothing expensive - just something to make the body more active.[Parachutes]
2007-11-29 13:03:08

N/A use soap - once in a while its actually a good idea

elliptical or treadmil - save your money!  If you can't get some schedule working now what would change?  it will just collect dust

try "cooking" your own lunch?  I don't mean really cooking, but you can prolly make a wrap in the morning if you remember to buy a pack of them plus some greens and cold meats for inside.  not too great, but might give you some order to your day

N/A Very nice entry - realistic.

But man - 50 bucks in gas a week??  Now I know you didn't get your car back in the 60s if you know what I mean...

I know many dudes here in New York who share flats.  Its really the only way to go with any normal job...  The bad thing about it is if one does something (like deals) all get busted.  I'm talking 5 to 9 guys per flat, depending.

McDonald's C U Next Tuesday ryn:  You are sort of missing the point of having unions.  And, I might add, that UAW has forgotten this for a long, long time as well.  The point is not just salaries today, but job security long term.  Before the 30s workers didn't make much (yes, this is a direct salary issue) because they could be replaced with any other guy for very little pay.  Of course that issue was also internal to US.  It took a lot of work, strikes and sometimes blood to get unions working, getting contracts, job security, retirement plans and benefits.  Now (and this really started with Bill President, but things have gone worse under Bush Jr.) this is being reversed.  There are two important points: 1. We don't want to be in the same situation as 1920s in 2020s - been there, done that!  2. As all facilities eventually need replacement there is currently no guarantee that ANY car manufacturing will be left in this country.  Its just a matter of time before this or that specific plant is closed here and opened somewhere else.

I think to some degree this strike was just test of the water for the union.  Unfortunately the water was deep and ice-cold.  (And I said too late in my entry).

N/A I'm going to write a proper comment, but first, I am curious as to why you put civilian in quotes when referring to the death toll of the Iraqis.

Baaa Baaa

I get what you mean, and I have the same problems but not from my siblings or parents. It's more stretched out into my Aunt and Uncles. Theyre very selfish human beings who think that if they perform some small favor, they deserve some sort of miracle payment back. And my father is actually in the car business as well, and people assume he can get them what they want at the price they want. It's pretty ridiculous. Im glad Im not warped into it, and thank goodness you arent too.

Dr. Pepper Bottle what's a cicada, is that like a roach? i hate roaches. out here in iraq, there are these bugs, kind of a mix between lovebugs and lady bugs, and i hate those, too. i probably would have done the same thing you did. but i wouldn't have held the phone.[muzakluvah] 2007-06-03 00:38:01

Coke Bottle Glasses

i never noticed the soda bottles, but what did you mean about that dr. pepper? that went straight over my head. and i wanna know about your being sued! please.

ryn: i don't think people share soap, etc., in college. and i don't think it's ocd that you don't mix your laundry with others'. if that's all you got, then you'd hate to have me as a roommate. my feet never touch any surface except my own shoes/socks, i don't sit on any toilets -- ever, no one sits on my bed. period.

Guy Fact #38 i hear you. i think i've found "the one" but how often have i said that before? i think love will find you. but, like you mentioned, it's not going to find you on your couch.[muzakluvah] 2007-05-26 08:02:09

TV finales i haven't seen or heard anything of season 3 of grey's anatomy. and this (your entry plus the 2 comments) was like the craziest synopsis ever! now i must go to the site and get recaps. darn being in iraq with no real tv! (not that i watch tv anyway. i just downloaded each show after it came on...)[muzakluvah] 2007-05-26 07:57:15

That Big Gal

'k. i know this is totally inapproriate and completely none of my effing business. but are you a virgin? by now wouldn't you know whether or not you liked big girls? i'm not trying to be rude or anything, just asking out of curiosity. (we may be getting married in 6 or so years, so i need to know a thing or 2 about my maybe future husband.)

TV finales I have to disagree about Derek and Meredith. (Ha, I watch the show as well.) If your significant other is going through a rough patch (and it seems as though Meredith struggles with depression), you stick by them. I also think Derek is a passive-agressive a**h***. You don't sleep with a girl and then tell her, "I don't think I want to breathe for you." You also don't tell a woman that she should be worried that getting hit on at a bar by another woman was the highlight of your week, and then you go on to tell said woman that she's the love of your life. If he feels like he's always competing with her friends, maybe it's because when she's in a crisis (e.g. not even bothering to jot down answers on her intern's exam) her friends are there for her regardless of what she says because she has the rough exterior. Besides, I don't think anyone would be Mary Sunshine if their mother and step-mother died so closely together and then their father blamed them for the latter death.

Anyway, I'm kind of done with Grey's considering this season has just been of the worst quality writing-wise. They need to stop recycling storylines and they really need to stop trying to make me believe that George and Izzie are in love because - just no. :-)

TV finales Hello, I just randomly stumbled on your entry and thought i would comment about the Grey's Anatomy season finale. As for who got the chief position, it was George's wife (can never remember her name). Towards the end of the show, Cristina and her bridesmaids were behind the door getting ready to walk down the aisle and she made an announcement that she maid chief and that her and george were trying to have a baby. But ofcourse now that george failed his exam, i don't see him being on the show anymore, he said he wouldn't repeat his internship. Hope that clears some things up :)[TxSwtHrt86] 2007-05-21 14:26:00

thanks for the comment. ... i usually cant really remember my dreams, but if i have one about skyler (the guy in my dream) i will remember them lol.

Mommy Dearest

I can't see people in hospitals, I break down everytime. My friend is very sick in the hospital... and I'm so scared that at any moment she could die. But I can't bear to watch her lay there in that white bed, she looks so weak, when in real life she's so strong...

You'll find something for your Mom. Find her something that will make her smile, or laugh. Something she really needs, or something that she'll use everyday. Hope everything works out for you <3

N/A man, don't i know short-end of the stick. i read your next entry first, and i think it's a good option to see what else is out there. if you know you're doing good work, try to get what you deserve. don't let anyone take advantage of you or your hard work.[muzakluvah] 2007-05-02 12:52:19

N/A i wish i could give you a hug. not so much because i think you need one, but because i think you need one and i need one too.

ryn: no, there is no special someone at home (or anywhere else for that matter) that wants me to come back. and your wishful thinking is my wishful thinking. maybe we should just marry each other so neither of us will be lonely?[muzakluvah]

N/A So... given that MDD is so sporadic, alot of us are doubling up over at Xanga. There's a couple blogrings, "MDDers!" and "Don't I know you from somewhere? ;)". I've got one there under the name Obsidian_Butterfly01 [Obsidian Butterfly] 2004-06-01 21:03:00

N/A I wish i could be motivated like you...Good luck! [EmmYxBaBy] 2004-05-17 21:43:11

N/A Haha, I can't wait to read your new diary! You should check out that book, you can probably get one used on Amazon now. It's mostly about mindset. That's great that you have a positive outlook now, it's important. Check out Mark Victor Hansen's website if you get a chance. It's all motivational stuff! [VR] 2004-05-17 21:41:50

N/A RYN: Well, I'm not sure, but I thought of a modification of the Halle Berry diet for guys. You put up the picture of Halle or Britney or Cameron, or whoever, and the sign says "If you DON'T open this, you can have her." [Obsidian Butterfly] 2004-05-16 20:07:31

N/A RYN: You are the nut! lol. I have to check out the other pairs that I have, but this pair has the screws that go through the lens and there is a nut that holds it on the other side. I know I have had others like this. I just think common sense would tell them to put a couple of nuts in there whether you need them or not! [VR] 2004-05-16 16:30:33

N/A RYN: That's all I expected of my Brother. He's disappointed me.:( I have two rose bushes, one is slowly dying and the other one is so established that I don't think I could kill it if I tried! It is pretty when it blooms. It's pink. I just don't have the patience for roses I guess. What kind of diet are you trying? Is it the Dr. Phil thing? exercise, exercise, exercise! [VR] 2004-05-16 16:26:44

N/A I love that song. I like Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson too. I started listening to country about 2 years ago. Now I prefer it. I just can't find anything else on the radio other than rap, hiphop (some of which is ok) or metal. I like the Hawaiian shirt idea, Tristan would love that too! You'll have to let us know the reactions that you get. [VR] 2004-05-14 20:26:35

N/A Woohooooo Star Bar! Congrats! RYN: I think you read my entry wrong. I was in no way suggesting that the little girl was being abused. I just feel sorry for her that their house/yard looks like that. She's probably embarassed to bring friends over. I never see the poor thing outside playing. I just thought if they had to clean up their yard it would help her out too. I knew a little girl who used to get teased because of the house she lived in. It's not right, I know, but I think it's just a matter of laziness on the part of her parents. I mean, it wouldn't even cost anything to clean their yard. It just looks bad. [VR] 2004-05-13 20:46:19

N/A I love Rock the Casbagh! That's a cool ringtone. I have a coupon for a free ringtone, I originally wanted Drops of Jupiter, but it doesn't sound that great. I'll have to check it out again. I still have The Pink Panther and I like that alot. I think with the freebie coupon I will download a cat meowing. They just cashed my check for the free camera. What did you end up getting? I'm telling you, for charlie horses/leg cramps all you have to do is flex your feet as soon as you feel them coming on and it stops it right there! It's the same thing as being in the standing position. I used to get them in the middle of the night from stretching my legs wrong and I would just lay there screaming, now I am in the habit of stretching them with my foot flexed. I haven't had one since. I swear by it. Try it! As for the cancer thing, I thought it was a pretty good survival rate since whenever you hear the word cancer it's usually terminal. Hers had spread, so it didn't look very good. It just seems like she has alot better chance now. Tristan was in the Cleveland Clinic last year, I like that hospital alot. When he originally got sick we took him to a small suburban hospital, he had a 105 fever and they had us sitting in the waiting room. The poor kid was so lethargic. They finally gave me a washcloth and some ice, but I had to go ask for it! I think if it had been left to the emergency room personnel he could've died. I was so happy when they transferred him to the clinic. They were so good with him and had him diagnosed and cured within a couple of days. He had the number one pediatric cardiologist in either the country or the world, I forgot which one. It was a scary time. They actually have a nice parent lounge there too, you can sleep on couches, watch tv, shower, there's a fridge. One day they had a sundae bar and had about 20 different toppings for icecream. It's such a good hospital, if anything ever happened to me that is where I would want to go. I'm sorry about your test. Teacher should've given you the star. So just what did you guys learn from the movie? lol [VR] 2004-05-12 20:13:51

N/A You are not doomed! If you start hanging out with the school guys, just stay out of jail ok! Most guys do not like to open up emotionally, it's not a strong point in the male brain, so don't feel bad about that. I think you would make someone a great boyfriend. You're funny, nice, CONSERVATIVE lol, interesting, trustworthy and easy to communicate with. Nobody is going to give you a chance until you give you a chance. Don't be so hard on yourself. Maybe you and one of your Bros could go out some time. Go to a comedy club or a coffee house. I'm sure you could find somewhere to go to meet someone. Here's a biggie, a girl with car problems. Now there you have alot to talk about as a starting point! Why don't you pick up a new hobby, when you have more free time, that women would also be involved in. Join the Bowl-a-rama, ever play darts? Start playing, get on a dart team, it can be alot of fun. [VR] 2004-05-09 21:59:04

N/A Be brave, man! [Obsidian Butterfly] 2004-05-09 20:23:22

N/A You have a great personality and sense of humor, talk to her! Ask her what field she is going into? How long has she been studying for? What led her to the medical field? and this one is really important...is she a liberal? lol Just kidding. You need to take some risks or you will never know. RYN: I am the baby of the family and had 2 older brothers. Davey was shot in 79, he was the oldest and the one who always made me do what I should've been doing, like go to bed on time, do the dishes...RIGHT (he used to inspect them) lol. He was always the more responsible one. My Mom said he used to take us to the zoo in the summer when I was little. Billy is the 2nd. oldest. He always let me get away with things. He was also the one who tortured me, ya know, like hang my doll, twist my arm. Stuff like that. I think I will write more about that stuff in my next entry. Have a good one! Vicky [VR] 2004-05-09 20:11:36

N/A aww. yeah i know, it is hard to talk to a crush. i've tried it many times but i chickened out on all of them. just keep trying to talk to her and see what happens. maybe she does like u, ya never know. ;) [FrenchMuffinsOui] 2004-05-09 20:05:47

N/A I think those nieces of yours have you wrapped! I liked that entry. I could just picture it. Ok, I understand the torque explanation but how do you know how much weight pressure you are putting on it? You can take my car in for an alignment. It's never had one! I know, I should get one. Rick said my engine was a pain because everything in there is so compact. I couldn't get the engine fixed, he tried. Something broke in it and damaged the valves. Don't use that explanation at school, I don't think the teacher will let you get away with it! LOL It's a Saturn SC2. [VR] 2004-05-07 20:13:36

N/A HEEEEYYYY. You stop picking on my Friends! Wasn't your test today? How did it go? [VR] 2004-05-07 18:45:36

N/A I would never underestimate your intelligence! You just had to find something that held your interest and it sounds like you have. I never liked that metric stuff, what's even worse is torque, what's that all about? When Rick was putting a new engine in for me I was flipping through the car instruction book (what's that called again?), that's some pretty intense stuff. I give you guys alot of credit. [VR] 2004-05-06 21:41:00

N/A Yep...and do you know what else was supposed to happen this week that I have not seen any press coverage of? Supposedly there were going to be 25 vets present in DC to present a petition of 100s of Vietnam Vets that served with Kerry that do not think he should be Commander in Chief. Check out Newsmax.com. Good luck on your test. Never heard of that song. [VR] 2004-05-05 22:14:13

N/A Anywho, on to the real comment, congratulations on the 88%. Also, I don't watch the Sopranos or The Shield, but that scene sounds funny. I'm more of a Showtimer myself. Where else can you get queer folk, lesbian folk, black folk, and just plain dead folk all on the same channel? [Parachutes] 2004-05-04 15:02:03

N/A Blowing him what? A kiss? [Parachutes] 2004-05-04 14:57:54

N/A Congrats on the test! I don't have cable so I think I've seen the Sopranos once. I would imagine you are right about the bj on a show tailored towards men. Probably not a good idea. I really couldn't imagine a big gay following for that show. RYN: I don't get that either. Why would you believe in killing an innocent child and not sentencing a convicted murderer to life? I know they say "women's choice" whatever. Yet, they are trying to pass a law that if a woman is pregnant and she is murdered that's two live's taken. So, it's a life if someone else takes it other than the woman? Sounds like a double standard to me. So, this is how they see it...it's ok for the woman to take the life of her & the father's child, but it is murder for someone else to do it, yet it's ok because they won't get sentenced to death? Did you read the comments on my last couple of entries? If not, you should, pretty interesting. I did like it that Sarah was asking me questions about politics. She is 11 and I explained to her the major two parties, their belief systems, what I believed and why. Hopefully I can make a difference in a child's life politically, because, as you can tell, I am pretty passionate about it! Have a good night, morning, afternoon, whatever! Vicky [VR] 2004-05-03 21:36:38

N/A When I tear up stuff I always put it in 2 different bags. Like the first 1/2 of the cc number in one, the 2nd. 1/2 in another that will go out the next week. My Mom taught me that one. Good luck on your test this week. Attitude really does mean alot, you should try to work on seeing yourself achieving higher. I'll shut up now! Have a nice week Andy! [VR] 2004-05-02 20:39:18

N/A RYN: Actually, I was going to go to Dominican anyway... that they wanted me to play volleyball was a bonus. My High school coaches had me convinced I wasn't good enough to play at any college. But besides DU I was thinking about American University in Washington DC... but I didn't apply anywhere else besides DU. I also thought about Loyola Chicago and UIC. [Obsidian Butterfly] 2004-04-30 23:10:04

N/A Hi Andy, About the Pat Tillman thing, the bigger picture is that it gives children something to ask about and parents a chance to tell a story about selflessness and the importance of fighting for and protecting your values, using a character that's bigger than life to most children. I don't think he would've minded that. It's more a chance to teach than to honor. Should've took your boss to the presidential party. Hey! Take your picture to work and hang it up somewhere! [VR] 2004-04-30 19:37:33

N/A You ramble as much as you want! Good luck tomorrow and I know what you mean about people taking their children to inappropriate movies. How selfish! Anyways, how is school going for you? What are you guys doing this week? Any girls in your classes? One time, years ago, my car wouldn't start at a neighborhood gas station and I had all of these neighborhood guys looking at it, then my friend's sister pulled up and fixed it in 2 minutes! She was a mechanic at one of our utility companies and worked on diesel. It was pretty cool. Just curious. I don't even know how to change the oil, although I have learned my lesson about having the oil changed regularly! Have a great night! V [VR] 2004-04-29 20:08:44

N/A RYN: You are too funny! Sleep well, huh? It's not my gas that is leaking. Believe me, I would not hesitate to call the gas company! Of course I'm afraid of gas and electricity. I'm a girl, we're supposed to be afraid of it! Have a good week at school. Hope your Mom cooks tonight! [VR] 2004-04-25 17:35:51

N/A Sounds like your Bro doesn't want to face the fact that he has these seizures and shouldn't be driving. What does his fiance say about it? What if they have children, is she going to let him drive with the children? Something you might want to bring up. That commentary was pretty good though wasn't it? [VR] 2004-04-22 22:09:14

N/A Sorry you haven't been feeling well. I'm sure having to go to school on top of being sick has made it more difficult. Anywho, here's to getting better. Cheers.

P.S. Thanks for the comment. [Parachutes]

2004-04-22 21:12:17

N/A I still have my cough. It really sucks for me and everyone around me because I can't sing! LOL Yeah, an apology, can you believe that? Hope you are feeling better soon, myself, I think I am going to call the doc and see if I can get some antibiotics! [VR] 2004-04-21 20:19:49

N/A im sorry youre sick sorta! i hope you feel less weak soon. ugh knowitalls get on nerves, dont you think? thats okay if you're days are boring... there's probably old
